My My how time flies, it seems like only 6 months ago I was writing my last blog, and it was Christmas. Heck, it WAS 6 months ago, have I been in a coma or something??
So, what has happened in the last manic 6 months I hear you ask, don't I? No? Well it doesn't matter I'm going to tell you anyway, don't blame me, you clicked on the blog, you don't have to read it you know.
Well first of all after nearly a year of pretty average fun the HPI Savage has just left us, so I hope the new owner enjoys it more than we did, I don't think we are really monster truck people, we go to the Truggy's for most things as they are a bit more Racey. Don't get me wrong, the Savage is VERY fast, in a straight line, it just doesn't like cornering, stopping or starting very much. I'm sure that there are many upgrades that will improve all of the handling and the like, but the thing is our Truggy's don't really need to be adjusted, they're good at pretty darn near everything.
Apart from Rock crawling.....
Yes, Jake and I have decided to have another experience at rock crawling, and as a www.gearbest.com fan I've decided to buy two of the P402 rock crawlers to see how they perform and do several articles on any updates that we decide to do, so watch this space.
The HobbyKing Sabertooth is also on eBay, this is one great Truggy and some lucky soul is going to get the best truck ever, with LOADS of spares. Jake has been upgraded to a ARR Habao Truggy SS7 with the brushless set up from the Sabertooth, I think we may have got the last chassis only kit left in this country but bou what a car. Watch out for new video's and pictures of this soon.
On the SM32 front my long retired Accucraft Excelsior is back on the tracks, with new piston 'o' rings, bushes, modified boiler, and lots of extras. Click on the SM32 section to find out more. I've also started making new wagons and vans from scratch using Swift Sixteen buffers and Tenmille wheel sets from GRS, there will be downloadable PDF's at some stage....
