It's been an expensive few months on the Dusty Trax household, first of all the timid beginnings of buying and selling some Chinese tablets, you soon get to know which ones are good and which ones aren't.
Then since the demise of the Savage two new arrivals, the Kyosho FO-XX in nitro which I've always wanted ever since I saw one at the www.modelsport.co.uk website two years ago, and I got this for a song, over £150 off the asking price. Either means it's a poo car or they wanted rid of it. First impressions are that it's awesome, three speed, sounds great, touch as nails, STARTS, which is more than the Savage did. Odd steering servo set up which I'll post to the gallery later.
Also the 00 in the garage has been sold, as I need it for a work room for my SM32, my cars and other "stuff". However it isn't the end of the road for the electric mice, as a portable N gauge layout is being planned, watch out for new images soon as it progresses. Hopefully this will be to an exhibition standard, all I need now is some invites.....
Watch out for some new Quad video's coming soon - as I'm well aware that I've neglected the site and if it's to continue into 2017 I need to update a bit more regularly. Also there will be an open day gallery soon on the Chibanxi once I've arranged an actual open day, watch this space or contact me if you'd like to come along.
The P602 car from Gearbest was cancelled, so I won't be doing a build on it, so I may chose another chassis to upgrade from the cheep n cheerful Gearbest / Banggood range, probably a WL car, to see how it fares as a crawler.. I might bite the bullet and get the HPI Crawler in the meantime, yes I know it hasn't got the reputation for being a good crawler, but at £199 each I need two, one for me and one for Jake. It isn't winter yet so no rush. Probably when I do decide to get them they will be sold out anyhow!
